Evening Clouds

Maybe you remember the oil sketch I told you about in my March 31 blog entry. I just finished  a large size painting on panel after that sketch. Funny, the sketch (30 x 40 cm) took me only a few hours, but the panel painting (90 x 120 cm) took me about three weeks...   I made a short video of the different stages of the painting. Hope you enjoy it!

  1. Did it take 3 weeks because of the scale or because you wanted to take it slow with breaks in between? Anyway the result has turned out to be fantastic!

The link for the video doesn't seem to work, I'll check it out if it's on YouTube.

    1. Thanks for the kind words. It took three weeks, not only because of the scale, but mostly because I was struggling with the reflections. I felt they were interfering with the calmness I was aiming for.
Sorry to hear the video link doesn't work. I'll post it on Youtube one of these days.

  3. Thanks, Richard! I've never been any good at water colors, so I totally understand why you're struggling...
